New Wall Quotes!

While waiting for my ordered vinyl to make it on my front porch, I played around with more contact paper today.  Please excuse the quality of the pictures! While I have an amazing camera with excellent photo quality-these came from my phone.

As many of you know, I am also a photographer.  When we got married, my hubby and I started our first collection...picture frames from our travels.  I treasure photographs more than a person should, and figured a quote of the obvious seemed fitting for the wall we hang our frames on.  "Because pictures have a story to tell" speaks to my heart!  The stories of our travels will forever live!

Our laundry room has become the place my hubby literally drops his pants each night (mainly because I got tired of them being dropped on the bathroom floor).  I have seen a few different sayings for laundry rooms, but since mine is more of a hole in the wall, I figured the door would be the perfect place to put this quote.

Hubby wanted a fish for his truck.  Unfortunately, my vinyl didn't arrive today like it was supposed to, so I couldn't make the big logo he wanted.  I always like to try out new designs small before I make a big thing...so now he has a small bone fish logo for his work-horse truck too! He is pretty excited about it, and anything I can do to help keep him a happy hubby is a good thing!

Monogram Plate

One of my very best friends got engaged last night and I was asked to be a part of the proposal by taking pictures (see the photo blog in a few days to see pictures!).  There was no way I could be a part of such an awesome proposal and not bring a gift! I etched a plate with their names and future monogram initial! Shortly after she opened it, other friends were telling me they expect one when they get hitched :-)

This is still with the vinyl on it...its sometimes hard to see the full detail on etched glass through a picture, so I will start showing both versions!

50th Anniversary

I was asked to design a 50th Wedding Anniversary for a friend to give as a gift.  I am pretty pleased with the result, as well as the packaging.

Projects for Coworkers

At the present time, my coworkers are feeding my addiction to my machine and vinyl! :-) With my recommendations, the local Dollar Tree is the place to get things to vinyl.  The pink & blue baskets are from there, as well as the sanitizer! Yay saving money!

Creativity is Messy Download

Due to the overwhelming response to a post on a forum I follow, I have decided to share the file from my door sign with you all!

For SCAL2 Users:

For the .SVG File:

Enjoy the file, and be sure to comment if you scraplift it! I love knowing how people use the same files differently!

Checking Things off the List

Remember this post? Well, I have rapidly dwindled it down! The hand sanitizers have been done, along with the piggy banks, soap pumps, 2 toy buckets, 3 bottles, and one sippy cup! All along with rearranging my craft room and sprucing up a tattered rocking chair (pictures coming soon) I acquired!  It's been a fun and busy day! Enjoy the pictures :-)

My Craft Room Door

I found this quote online a few days ago and was dying to turn it into vinyl for my door.  It is a quote about me in a nutshell and I am so pleased with the way it came out!

Sanitizers!

Yep-I did a few more sanitizers recently! I couldn't show them until now though...because they were gifts!  I have started putting ribbon on them (thanks to suggestions from a great forum) and it really finishes the look! :-)

Belated Christmas!

Yesterday, I caught an awesome deal at Big Lots! Found these cute Christmas plates for a quarter and they were screaming for vinyl!  I hadn't planned on making anything out of them until the end of this year, but one of my best friends came to visit this morning and had the perfect opportunity! Her friend is having a wedding shower today and it's Christmas themed.  That way-the couple will have things to decorate their house for their first Christmas together-SO CUTE!!  So this is how the first plate turned out-and I LOVE IT! Is it time for Christmas yet? I want to hang one up with our name on it!!

This Weekend's Projects

Through the rain today, I was able to search high and low in Milledgeville to find little things on my list to vinyl.  This picture is the precursor to my projects for the weekend! :-) Stay tuned for the finished products!

3 Hand Sanitizers        3 Bottles
1 Sippy Cup               1 Tub Toy Bucket
1 Toys Tub                 2 Glass Piggy Banks
2 Star Bowls               2 Soap Bottles

Etching Glass

Yep-I tried it! Yep-I love it! I etched my first piece of glass the other day (aside from the things I did for my bridal party over a year ago).  I still can't decide if I like the pre-etched or the post-etched better...guess I will have to just make two of everything I etch!  :-)

Unique Gift Idea

My mother-in-law has an upcoming baby shower to attend, and she asked me if I could do some baby bottles for her! I figured it was worth a shot, and am really excited about how they turned out! Sweet and simple, and perfect way to keep track of your child's stuff at daycare our out and about!

I've Been Busy!

I didn't realize it had been so long since my last post.  Well, maybe not long, but I sure have been busy! My coworkers are fueling my addiction to vinyl! I've done a serving tray, awards plaques, more sanitizer bottles, a doggie bowl, a jewelry box, and more!  I will let the photos do the talking :-)

Trying Out New Designs!

I got an awesome zebra print design from a sweet lady on a message board I follow! This is my first attempt at the cut and I must say-I am pretty excited about the way it turned out!  The swirly design is one I found as a clipart sample and converted it.  Its not as funky as the zebra, but I still love it!

This is a sanitizer bottle I did for my desk at school.  We go through sanitizer quite rapidly, but now I will just refill the bottle :-)

These are two margarita glasses I did for a friend to give as a birthday gift! It was my first attempt at vinyl on something really curved...I need more practice.  Even so, I like the way they turned out!

Just for Fun!

I did these two designs today, the sanitizer bottle is for the front desk at the school I teach at!  Our mascot is the Eagles (obviously) and our motto is "Soaring for Excellence."  The purple basket is one that I did for a coworker as a sample.  The logo is for an organization she belongs to.  I am having so much fun with this stuff!

**Please excuse the quality of the pictures-they were taking with my cell phone!
